Spinach and Artichoke Dip

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sour cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 clove garlic, peeled and minced
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
1 (14 ounce) can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
1/2 cup frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained

1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a small baking dish.
2 In a medium bowl, mix together cream cheese, sour cream, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, garlic, basil, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Gently stir in artichoke hearts and spinach.
3 Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven 25 minutes, until bubbly and lightly browned.

  1. Spinach and artichoke dip is one of my favorite appetizers (okay, foods) and I have a favorite recipe, though currently I am trying to create something new and better. I’ll have to try this. I’ve not heard of basil being used before, but my newest S&A dip addition has been white pepper.

  2. Did you double this for Lou’s shower? I’m thinking of making it for New Year’s Eve. It was soooo good.
